Knight Corporate Finance is owned and managed by Paul Billingham and Adam Zoldan, supported by a growing team.
Since Knight CF formed in January 2009 it has completed 33 transactions, worked on an on-going basis with several retained clients, and undertaken a number of strategic reviews and projects.
Paul Billingham was formerly Commercial Director of Opal Telecom Limited, the B2B fixed line operation of the Carphone Warehouse Group plc, where his role encompassed M&A and Commercial Finance. With over 14 years experience in the TMT sector Paul has worked for a number of channel focused, high growth and market leading companies that have realised £millions in value to shareholders. During this time, Paul completed 15 company acquisitions and also took Non-Executive Directorships in smaller TMT businesses.
Adam Zoldan has 16 years experience in the telecoms and technology sector. He was formerly a shareholder and Managing Director of V Networks Limited which was acquired by Opal Telecom in September 2008. Prior to this he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers Corporate Finance as lead advisor for telecommunication transactions. During this time he sold companies including Via.Networks, PSInet Europe, Tele2 and Cable Telecom and advised some of the UK's leading carriers including Thus, NTL, and Orange.
After graduating Tim entered the Telecoms sector and was significantly involved in the development of one of the UK's largest wholesale telecoms sales channels for a major UK telecoms network. Since then Tim has experienced all elements of the UK telecoms market with carriers, resellers and specialist providers and more recently was a shareholder and CEO of the INW Group, a UK Based group of telecom resellers, which he successfully grew through a buy and build model before the group being acquired in 2010 by Chess Telecom. Tim is a Corporate Finance Associate at Knight Corporate Finance and brings a high level of hands-on operational experience and industry expertise to the team. He is responsible for leading transactions having completed 4 deals since he started work at Knight CF including the disposal of Tariff Reduction Services and XL Networks to Elitetele.com, and Greenhouse Telecom to Communicate Better.
Rob qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1998 and has worked extensively with small and medium sized enterprises. As part of BDO Stoy Hayward's corporate finance team Rob raised private equity funds, bank debt and lead a number of IPOs for early stage IT and telecoms companies. In 2002 he left BDO to join Eurotel as group Financial Controller to strengthen the finance team in support of a buy andbuild strategy before becoming the Finance Director of j4b plc, a small listed media and research business. Following the successful break-up and sale of j4b Rob joined Knight CF in October 2009 where he has advised on deals including the sale of Wordwide ISDN to Bluebell Group, securing an acquisition 'war chest' debt facility for Elite Telecom and assisting Daisy plc with the disposal of its interests in a number of joint ventures inherited as part of the Redstone Telecom deal. Rob is responsible for leading transactions, undertaking detailed due diligence investigations and also provides Financial Director support to a number of clients.
Victoria studied at King's College, London where she received a BA (Hons) and further completed an LLM at Cardiff University after graduating from BPP Law School in London. She has been on the Roll of Solicitors since 2006 and before joining Knight CF, Victoria was an Associate at Mourant Ozannes advising on Investment Funds law and then became In-house Counsel for the Aztec Group. Victoria joined Knight Corporate Finance in October 2011 as a Corporate Finance Associate to manage transactions and bring her legal experience to bear in all aspects of finance raising, mergers, acquisitions and disposals of companies.
