Adam is a founder and Director of Knight, developing the business alongside Paul from inception to a market leading corporate finance boutique, and personally leads transactions from preparation through to completion. Prior to this he had over 15 years experience in the telecoms and technology sector. He was a founder shareholder of V Networks a reseller which was acquired by Opal Telecom in September 2008 and prior to this he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers Corporate Finance as lead advisor for telecommunication transactions. Adam is also a Director of Knight R&D, a R&D tax relief consultancy, and Advisory Board member of fund:tmt, a small TMT investment fund.
Chris joined Knight in May 2019 from a Manchester-based Corporate Finance firm where he advised owner managers on the disposal of their businesses. Prior to this Chris worked for a North West boutique advising high growth technology and biotechnology companies on capital raises.
David is a chartered accountant and joined Knight in October 2017, having previously worked at a large accountancy firm. Since joining David has worked on a number of transactions in the IT and telecoms sector – his role is to be the day-to-day contact throughout a project, working with entrepreneurs to prepare their business for marketing and to manage the due diligence process. In his time at Knight he has also developed a specialism in building financial models & forecasts.
Dom is a member of the execution team; his role is to provide in-depth financial review and analysis and is the day-to-day contact during a project, working with entrepreneurs to prepare their business for marketing and to manage the due diligence process. Since joining Knight Dom has worked on a number of transactions in the IT and telecoms sector and has gained significant experience of the overall sale process. He graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2013, with a degree in Accounting and Finance BA (Hons) and joined Knight in December 2018, having previously qualified as a chartered accountant with a national firm.
James is a chartered accountant and previously worked in corporate finance for a top 20 accountancy firm before joining Knight. He focussed on financial due diligence, sell-side advisory, valuations and financial modelling across a range of sectors including telecoms and IT. James is a member of the execution team at Knight and his role is to be the day-to-day contact during a project, providing financial analysis, working with entrepreneurs to prepare their business for marketing and managing the due diligence process.
Jay is an ICAEW chartered accountant and previously worked at one of the big 4 professional services firms in their TS department (focusing on financial due diligence). He has experience working in a variety of sectors including technology. Jay joined Knight in March 2021 as part of our newly established transaction services team, focusing on managing our vendor assist and due diligence projects. Jay will also be part of our lead advisory execution team, working with business owners to prepare their companies for marketing and sale in order deliver maximum shareholder value.
Paul is co-founder and Director of Knight with Adam, who have together established Knight as a market leading corporate finance boutique focused on telecoms and technology. Paul leads transactions from preparation through to completion. Prior to co-founding Knight he was Commercial Director at Talk Talk Business and has held various operational and finance roles in the telecoms industry at Martin Dawes Telecommunications, Opal Telecom and Talk Talk. Paul is also a Director of Knight R&D, a R&D tax relief consultancy, and Advisory Board member of fund:tmt, a small TMT investment fund.
Rupert leads the team in all aspects of the claim process. He has more than 17 years’ experience in R&D tax relief and credits, initially as a scientist in industry prior to spending over 9 years as an R&D Incentives specialist at one of the "Big 4" accounting firms.
